Length-There are 26 Total Episodes. No OVA’s, No Movies, yet. Myself I like longer Animes, but shorter ones tend to be great, I think they did a brilliant job on the pace of the Anime, to lead to a well done Anime, they didn’t make any of the common mistakes that shorter Animes tend to have which is, Bad story or jam packing 3 episodes into 1.

Sub/Dub- As of now it’s only FanSub, theres a total of 4 Sub Groups that finished the anime, as far as the best Sub Group goes, I did not watch all of them, I watched Shinsen-Subs & Ragnamart, and they did a decent job.

Animation- Mostly the Animation was outstanding but there was times where it wasnt as good as you would think, you could tell they spent more time on certain Monsters then others, it would be like as good as Naruto, then the next monster you see will be something you would see on Dragon ball, not that Dragon ball had bad Animation “when it came out” and it was Published in 1986.

Music- The music was good but it wasn’t good enough that you notice it, you know those animes your watching and all the sudden you think, (wow, that’s good Music) you never do that with this Anime.

Appropriateness- I don’t really care about appropriateness myself but, for those of you who do. as far as sexual Content goes, yes it does. Blood, Yes. Language, not really. Nudity, No. I give it a PG13 rating.

Characters/Story- I think the characters were well done they all had different personalities and they didn’t go episodes without saying a word. but they didn’t Draw you into the Anime like you would want. The story was great I give it a 9

Length-

Right now there’s 300 episodes and still going strong. your probably thinking how could an anime stay interesting after that many episodes. well One piece does it well. and there are 7 Movies that are decent.

Sub/Dub-
Kaizoku-Fansubs is by far the best Sub group for this Anime but they tend to be slow.
as far as Dub I haven’t watched any Dubbed except for the 4kids one that they cut. pretty much ruined the anime.

You need to install or upgrade Flash Player to view this content, install or upgrade by clicking here.

The Animation is average not outstanding just good enough.

Music-

The Music is good. I noticed some Music throughout the series I liked.

Appropriateness-

PG13- Blood, Alcohol, Language

Characters/Story-

I think this is the Main reason this Anime is still going is because even the Bad guys that will be dead in 3 episodes. you feel like you know them just as well as the main characters.

 Berserk Review

Berserk Review

Synopsis-
BERSERK Anime is a gothic tale set in the Middle Ages which chronicles the life of Gutts, a very strong and highly skilled swordsman

Read Review »

Story:

I find it hard to sum up Berserk, I find it even harder to sum up how awesome this series really is. First off there is Guts, he is the great Grandpa of EVERY Main Character, spiky hair Yup, oversize sword Heh…(King Of Swords),bad ass attitude For Sure..all Main Characters are pretty much based off him for he takes all the clichés but he brings them to new heights and goes beyond everyone else. anyway on to the Story.. Guts is a man without a destiny, he was born from a dead woman and was supposed to have died but did not, he was found and raised by a band of mercenaries even though he was considered to be an ill omen. During a siege he kills a well known member of the Hawks and after the battle is finished he is attacked by members of the Hawks who find themselves no match for him, the only one able to defeat Guts is Griffith, who then forces Guts to join the Hawks.

The Hawks themselves are composed of actual men with “PERSONALITIES” There’s not just 2 characters in this Anime, That have their own feelings, in fact ALL the characters in Berserk are their own person, it is Sweet. However there is a snag (there always is) the beginning episode is slower and takes place after the Hawks when Guts has become the Black Swordsman (long…LONG….story). And the ending…. The creators of the anime (Bastards!) made the Worse Ending I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a lot of Freaking Endings.., you will want to Get the Manga and that’s A LOT coming from me (is worth it). Actually after watching the series Read it or Die, The ENTIRE manga, otherwise you SUCK I mean miss out on some key characters who were removed that need explaining for the ending to make sense( Oh God, You Have no Idea how much explaining is needed). Anyway to sum it up Beginning = It was Okay, Ending = SUCKED!, (I can’t Stress How Bad the Ending was!), Middle = The best Freaking middle I’ve watched… Can’t Stress that enough either. (The Ending Sucking SO BAD and The Middle Being SO GREAT, it kinda Evens it out, Non the less A GREAT Anime And/Or Manga).

Graphics:

How does Berserk look? Lemme put it this way, you know how black exists to be the exact opposite of white? Same thing with Berserk only replace white with “light and fluffy”. The only colors this series really needs are shades of black, white, and red (there is a LOT of red). However it is not that a gritty ugly series it is quite GOOD and at more dramatic moments it replaces footage with well drawn stills which add to the effect. Oh yeah and before I forget, don’t let the kiddies watch this one it is full of blood, dismemberment, and nudity (be glad that they cut most of it out of the anime… seriously the manga is screwed up how badly? Guts is raped when he is a kid for instance…) So keep children, the faint of heart, and the retarded away from Berserk they will piss themselves…

Characters: Like amazing characters? Then stop reading this and start watching Berserk… Actually the cool thing is how they go from clichés and become such awesome characters. Guts goes from being the brooding loner to the commander of his own squad and fights to protect them and his friends and you also see about his VERY dark past (which involves rape), Griffith starts out as the power hungry bishi however you see more of his past which is quite dark (which involves rape), and there is Chaska, your standard ice queen however she has an awesome relationship with Griffith and Guts which is an awesome part of the series, she also has an angst past (involving rape) (seeing something in Common? Rape, Rape, Rape..).

If you don’t mind darkness, blood…A LOT of BLOOD.., or sexual content (Heh, All the Sexual Content is in 3 Straight Episodes) and enjoy amazing characters and storyline then Get.. Berserk RIGHT NOW!!! if you don’t want 12 hours of asking your self WTF WHAT THE HELL!!! then I Suggest having the Manga Ready to Read after you Finish the Anime but even then the Manga Doesn’t Get much better.

Full Metal Alchemist
(Overall a Good anime)

Description-
In this world, there exists people with special abilities to manipulate objects and transform one object into another. These people are known as alchemists. This process does come with a cost though, the basic law of alchemy states that to gain something you have to sacrifice something of the same value.

The main character is the famous alchemist Edward Elric – also known as the Full metal Alchemist – who almost lost his little brother, Alphonse, in an accident. Edward managed to contain his brother’s soul in a large suit of armor. While he did manage to save his brother’s life, he had to pay a great price.

To get back what they lost, the brothers embark on a journey to find the Philosophers Stone that is said to amplify the powers of an alchemist enormously.

Length-

There’s 51 Episodes no OVA and one Movie. it doesn’t seem like they crammed a bigger story in
less room nor does it seem like they stretched it like they are with the Naruto Fillers.
but in the end of the Series and the Movie it just seems like you’re missing something.

Sub/Dub-

The Dub is decent but it’s not perfect I’d recommend watching a Fansub. which will be hard to find most of them stopped when it got licensed.

Animation-

Full Metal Alchemist Animation was nice clean and ran smoothly. they did a very good job at keeping it the same throughout the series. but the Movies animation was a bit different not exactly in a good way either.

Music-

The Music was well done nothing outstanding but it was nicely put together and matched the Anime.

Appropriateness-

Teen/PG13 for Blood Violence Alcohol use.

Characters/Story-

The characters were Well made and thought out in this Anime even the Bad guys get you drawn in at some points
and there’s so many Characters it’s really surprising they were all very well put together.
